The major fix includes a remedy of the corrupted save bug, one that cost Twitch streamer Bl00dyBizkitz his speedrun of the game. Bl00dyBizkitz is a well-known Kingdom Hearts speedrunner and having his game save become corrupted might’ve been the wake up call Square Enix needed to fix the game. You can watch the clip of it happening below.

The save corruption bug was a well known bug and despite the day-one patch the title received, the problem still persisted. Strangely, the problem only pertained to Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and no other game in the collection. It looks like everything should be sorted out now since Square Enix made that one of the priorities with this patch.

The patch, dubbed 1.03, has added in an additional cut scene to Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. We don’t know if this is a new cut scene altogether or one that was omitted with the release of the game. One more major addition includes adding in Theatre mode for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, allowing players to re-watch the cut scenes whenever they want. We know it can be hard to follow the story at times so it will be nice to be able to go back and watch the cut scenes again.

The patch is available free of charge to Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix owners. The full patch notes are below:
