Our Senior Care Program is staffed by faculty members of the internationally recognized Department of Geriatrics and Adult Development of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. We also have a social worker and nutritionist on staff.

The older population often has special needs that are best cared for by a geriatrician, a professional who attends to the medical, social, psychological and functional needs of seniors.

Geriatricians are experts at treating patients with multiple medical problems to optimize the quality of life and functional ability of their patients. Ailments that geriatricians address include memory impairment (Alzheimer's disease), arthritis, chronic heart and lung disease, incontinence, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, vision and hearing problems and stroke. Geriatricians carefully review individual prescription and over-the-counter medications during every outpatient visit to ensure the dosage of each drug is appropriate and not causing harmful side effects.
