I cant say I am a big fan of the series but I did buy 4 when it barely came out. Although I did enjoy that one with its kickass nostagic menu after a while that game got tired. As for VH5 the 'kumite' we were are used to is now as 'Quest' this system is much better than the kumite from VH4. As a matter of fact you begin to unlock some charaxter customizations a lot faster than VH 4. The fights still stick to the same feel (actually a bit better) the control layout is exactly as from VH4. The only thing sega has lacked in this game is the story. Most people dont think tgere is a story behind the tournament when in fact its all in the manual booklets, actually all the games story is told in the booklet. You wont see any story, cut scene or anything (the feel of the game because stiff because it lacks a story) the voice acting, well most of these characters voices are recycled from vh4 while the new characters are simply new but as for the old ones you wont expect much new dialogue. The stages on the game are a bit more intresting (or at least to me) I felt that sega did a decent job on the stage designs of the game it has its own vh feel. Its still a decent game to get especially now that its cheaper and years pass by. If you liked vh4 or you are a fan of the series you wont get too disappointed and youll likely enjoy this a bit more. As for me I did enjoy it at a neutral way. I cant say it beats Tekken or Dead or alive but it be around 3rd/4th place for a fighting game.
