Windows 95 Bochs Image Creator
(I figured Windows 95 was an application...anyway):
Note: I know full well that Windows 95 in DOSBox is, from what I've gathered, not going to be a perfect experience, if it works at all.
Having gotten Windows 3.1 up and running (Yay Myst!),I wanted to mess around with Windows 95 under DOSBox, hopefully to get Sonic CD working. I tried VirtualBox (Ubuntu is my primary OS) already, and I wasn't too thrilled. Two questions:
1. Will Windows 95 have CD support (Real or using an image) if I get it to work? I kinda need that...
How to make a simple disk image. Directory and is ready to be used as an image file for a Bochs session. Or create a FreeDOS (or DOS, or Windows, or Linux.

- Windows 95 Boot Disk Download These are the Windows 95 boot disk images available from AllBootDisks. Download the diskette image you need, and if you need assistance creating a bootable diskette from this image, visit the how-to page.
- BXIMAGE.EXE 'Bochs Image' Creator - This is included from the Bochs package. It simply creates blank sectors of image space. For example, it will create an empty floppy or hard drive image of a specified size. The image will be 'empty'. MKDOSFS.EXE 'Make DOS FS' v00.14.15 A utility to create a FAT.
- For convenience, the bximage tool from the Bochs project is a really good way to create raw images, because you can specify a filesize, and it will return the drive geometry you need to mount it properly in DOSBox. See this article on the DOSBox wiki for info on how to use it.
- Bochs 2.6.6 may only run, work properly on Operating System or Platforms: Platform/OS: Windows 2000 Windows 2003 Windows 2008 Windows 7 Windows 8 Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows ME Windows NT Windows Vista Windows XP.
