Samsung Freezer Door Sound / Noise. Model RF26HFEND Samsung Makes Popping Noise. I also have a French Door style refrigerator and likely the same problem you are experiencing. Your Frigidaire refrigerator door has a small notched plastic ring that surrounds the hinge pin and helps to close the door. If the door begins to make a popping noise when you open and close it.

Refrigerator Door Makes Clicking Sound

Kenmore Refrigerator Clicking Sound

Hi Everyone,
I have a GE fridge with the side-by-side fridge doors, and the bottom freezer configuration. According to it's s/n, TH042776, it was manufactured in October 2005.
Problem:
The fridge was making a clicking sound at random intervals throughout the day. The fridge seemed to be running more often than usual (no change in ambient temperature) and seemed to have trouble staying consistently cold.
Fix:
-I ordered the mainboard part WR55X10942. I removed the existing main board from the fridge (I didn't notice any burn marks or scorching on it), and installed the new mainboard.
-Per instructions, I cut wire 2 from connector J1 (thermistor connection).
-The instructions indicate cutting a wire from the compressor connection (in the bottom of the fridge, not in the mainboard section) if a 'capacitor pack' was present. I didn't see one, so I didn't cut any wires at this location.
-I reconnected everything and plugged the fridge back in.
Current problems:
-A loud click can be heard from here, the little black box connected to the side of the compressor. I don't think any clicks come from the new main board.
-This part clicks once and I can feel the compressor slightly vibrating, as though it is running but not at 'full power'. 5-7s later a second click is heard from this part and the compressor stops vibrating. After 3-5m, this cycle repeats. The frequency of this cycling remains constant for hours. The compressor does not make the usual compressor noise when it spins up. That metallic vibration sound that we all know but I cannot describe. You can barely hear mine going and it's a very faint buzz.
-The compressor gets very hot - to the point that I can't put my hand on it for longer than a minute.
-The fridge seems to be cooling somewhat. Cold-ish air blows out of the vents inside the freezer and fridge. The fridge temperature display shows 50deg, and decreases with time. The freezer display shows -47deg and does not change.
Any ideas? Since it seems to cool sort of - my thought is that the compressor is working to a degree. Could it be some other part? I hope I provided enough detail. Thanks for reading and helping me out.
